A producer who wants to be SPP certified exceeds 15 hectares, what should I do?

SPP’s General Standard establishes that 85% of the Small Producers in your organization must have at most:

  • 15 hectares in Agricultural production
  • 1 hectare in indoor production
  • 500 hives in production

It is allowed that a maximum of 15% of the producers of the organization have up to 2 times the parameters defined above, that is, up to:

  • 30 hectares in Agricultural production
  • 2 hectares in indoor production
  • 1,000 hives in production

In the event that the producer(s) exceed(s) the aforementioned parameters, a duly justified request for a special permit must be submitted to SPP Global.
