SPP Global, represented by its Executive Director, Jerónimo Pruijn, signed an agreement on November 14 with the Colombian Initiative of Sustainable Fair Trade Small Producers, represented by its legal representative, Marycel Vivas, to create the SPP Colombia platform. René Ausecha (Cosurca) and Yurydia Pillimué (Fondo Paez) were appointed to represent SPP Colombia.
The objective was to:
“Sign a cooperative agreement between the Colombia Initiative of Sustainable Fair Trade Small Producers and SPP Global with the aim of promoting, disseminating information, representing and assisting the Small Producers’ Symbol (SPP) in Colombia, as a movement managed by producers.”
This is the fifth local SPP platform to begin operations, following SPP France, SPP Peru, SPP Ecuador and SPP Guatemala. Thus, the Small Producers’ Symbol continues to make progress in building its “Glocal Network,” linking local and global.
